The Íæż½ã½ã’ 11th annual InnovateÍæż½ã½ã wrapped up Friday with an awards ceremony recognizing the winners of the research and creative symposium. The Earl K. Long Library and Íæż½ã½ã’s Fine Arts Gallery were the center for the 2023 showcase in which students presented their independent research, scholarly or creative activities to the campus community.
Over the course of the two-day event, 73 presentations were made, engaging nearly 112 presenters, co-presenters and judges. Presenters included Íæż½ã½ã students, faculty and staff from every discipline.
This was the sixth year it has been open to all students, faculty and staff—and the first year it included an InnovateÍæż½ã½ã Art Gallery hosted after-hours in the Íæż½ã½ã Fine Arts Gallery.
Volunteer judges, including Íæż½ã½ã faculty, staff and graduate students, evaluated the presentations.
The best-ranked presentations were awarded a total of $3,000 by the Office of Research. Both undergraduate and graduate students were awarded prizes.

The Office of Research concluded the annual InnovateÍæż½ã½ã with the Achievements in Research, Creativity and Scholarship (ARCS) awards ceremony. By the end of the ceremony, the office announced more than $55,000 of investments in the innovative activities of Íæż½ã½ã students, faculty and staff.
